Good things come to those who wait!

K guys, I'm so sorry to just leave ya hangin on the skin care scene. Hopefully you've all had plenty of time to purchase some man-sturizer and are lathering on the sun protection! Baby steps, right? ;) Since some time has passed I'll just jump straight to the mack-daddy of all my "men's must-have products":

Must-Have #2 - Time Defiance Intensive Repair Serum. Why do I covet this product as much as my growing shoe collection? Because it's going to keep you looking fab even on the worst of days. And since I'm guessing that many of you haven't made skin care a top priority - until now - this product actually helps to reverse the signs of aging!

It's honestly the most amazing product I think I've ever tried. I remember being a skeptic until I had an opportunity to smooth it on my skin. WOW! I had only used a few of the product vials when a co-worker and I went out to some of the cosmetic counters at a mall in Vegas. I was stopped by people at five different counters who asked what I was using on my skin. I swear it's the glow that your skin gets. And of course I loved that Achievers attendees guessed my age to be somewhere between 23 and 25! But enough about me ... You'll have to try it for yourself and tell me what you think. And if you're looking for the claims to back this product up:

  • 261% improvement in clarity (that's the glow I was talking about).
  • 99% reduction in fine lines.
  • 83% improvement in skin smoothness. You'll just have to trust me that we like your skin smooth.;)

I'm almost 100% certain that this will be the most expensive skin care product you've ever purchased, but it's well worth every last cent, especially if you've avoided giving your skin the TLC it deserves. And this is a product that you only use four times a year - not daily. It packs such a punch that you don't need it every day. You just use it for 14 nights in a row and then sit back and enjoy the results. Maybe timing your use around major sporting events would make it easier to remember. Here's one possible plan of attack:

  • Round One - March Madness: You're three months into the new year and should definitely want to look good whether you're catching the game courtside or other.
  • Round Two - U.S. Open Golf Championship and Wimbledon: By this time I'm sure you will have spent plenty of time in the sun. Your skin will appreciate the extra care to reverse the damage you've done while teeing or serving up your best game.
  • Round Three - Monday Night Football: It's time to retreat to the telly and take in some major football (my favorite sport next to hockey). When the games begin it's a signal to get your skin ready for chillier temps that are just around the corner.
  • Round Four - NCAA Soccer Championships, the "Bowl" Games, and the International AcapulcoCliff Diving Competition (just in case you're a fan): While all of these events are important, perhaps the most important sport of this season is shopping and holiday merriment! And I'm sure by now you know that having fabulous skin is one of the best gifts you could ever receive.

I purchased the Intensive Repair Serum 2 weeks ago and started using it last Wednesday.  On Thursday evening (I had only used it one evening), during our weekly workshop, someone asked me if I had been in the sun or if I was wearing the bronzer because my face was "glowing".  I was wearing a little of the bronzer but it hadn't occurred to me until I was home that I was, in fact, already seeing results of the serum.  It is now Saturday afternoon, and I have used the product for 3 nights.  I am not wearing any "makeup" and my face does have a nice glow to it and it is incredibly smooth.  I can't wait to see the full effects after having used the product for 14 days!

Hiya. I'm looking for someone to come to my daughters 14th birthday party so tha her and her friends can have a facial and a make-over ie: there make up done. There are 7 girls in total. I would like something good but something rather cheap too. If you would like to get back to me soon that would be great thank you.

Laura - I love when mom's give the gift of proper makeup application to their teens! I just did this for a friend of mine. But I'm not exactly sure what you're asking with your comment...

If you're trying to locate a local makeup artist, I'd start at the department store counters. More often than not the makeup artists working there will do freelance jobs and could help you out. For teens I would try the Bobbi Brown Counter first. She wrote a book dedicated to teen beauty, so her artists will be trained for sure.

A few other tips, I wouldn't necessairly recommend the facial and then makeup right after. If many of the girls are new to this, you don't know how their skin will react. I would suggest that you work with the makeup artist to create a mini-outline of what's going to be covered. And first on the agenda should be the importance of good skin care, rather than a facial. Once skin care is covered, then move on to basic, natural makeup for teens.

As for the good but cheap part, they don't necessairly go together. You may be able to find someone who will offer both, but I'd pick one of the other. Think of it this way, you're basically asking an industry expert to not only teach but apply makeup to a group of seven girls. Spending one-on-one time with any professional is going to be costly, but it's teaching your daughter and friends a skill they're going to use the rest of their lives. Hope that helps. Please let me know.

Cheers,

t

T,

Last week, I saw my hairstylist and left her a full-size set of the Time Defiance Skin Care System to use for a week (she had previously told me that she was a Clinique user and was not happy with the products).  She mentioned that she had a small spot (the size of a dime) of broken capillaries on each cheek (she covers them with concealer and foundation).  I know that she definitely should stay away from the polishing scrub but I was wondering what other recommendations you would have as to what she should/should not be using.

Thanks!       Elizabeth

P.S. - I finished the Intensive Repair Serum and my skin has never looked better or felt so smooth.  I have such a nice glow that I hardly have to wear any "makeup".  What an incredible product!!
